Developer - Team Lead

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science
  • 5+ years minimum professional experience, working with enterprise level software
  • Experience in a PHP based Web Application Development
  • Proficiency working with and setting up all aspects of typical LAMP and WISA stacks.
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Proven experience in .NET a plus
  • Demonstrable expertise in Object Oriented methodologies
  • Strong proficiency in MySQL and MSSQL
  • Front-End Web development experience including HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery/Ajax
  • Excellent working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of client/server architectures and best practices
  • Experience in modeling and documentation
  • Experience with source control management and procedures

MERGE Team Lead – Developer is responsible for overseeing a team of Developers along with the planning, detailed design, and delivery of quality software components and products. This includes working collaboratively with other project stakeholders to analyze and refine requirements, conduct modeling and prototyping as necessary, documenting resulting designs, team code level reviews and ensuring best practices are maintained. Together with the lead Project Manager, the Team Lead - Developer monitors progress of deliverables in areas of technical responsibility within the larger context of concurrent product programs.

The Development Team is committed to delivering robust platforms meeting specific client needs. The Team Lead – Developer is responsible for overseeing the planning, detailed design, and delivery of quality software components and products. This position provides hands-on leadership and mentorship to a team of Software Developers.

Key Accountabilities

  • For each development project, work with key stakeholders to define project scope, including deliverables, goals & objectives and resource requirements
  • Direct, manage and lead team to develop detailed designs for chosen solutions and manage client expectations
  • Participate in hands-on development as part of the team effort (up to 75% time)
  • Contribute to the ongoing architectural evolution of Merge software
  • Take ownership of detailed project schedules within scope
  • Optimize task assignments to developers based on employee strengths and interests
  • Work with other Team and Technical Leads to advance the use of new technologies, development tools and methodologies
  • Assist with the assessment of individual and team performance
  • Track and manage personal time as it relates to assigned projects and deliverables
  • Work in concert with sales staff when determining initial project scope and timelines

Director - Business Development - Job Description:

The Business Development person is a true sales executive well-versed in all facets of selling, branding, consumer awareness, sales and product development. As the Business Development hunter, he/she will integrate traditional marketing/sales objectives using research, market analysis and product knowledge to develop clear business solutions to the defined business problem. Is a hand’s on - do it yourself type of individual for a small but growing - fast paced software company.

As a Sales Leader for the company and the MERGE brand, it is essential that the candidate is a proven driven over achiever who will aim to set the sales pace within the company and will effectively represent the MERGE brand to the market.

Sales Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the Management Team to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue quotas and develop growth with new and existing customers.
  • Be a strategic thinker, goal oriented and a natural leader with a big picture vision. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success with a strong ability to formulate, implement and execute strategy.
  • Develop high-level relationships to serve as a trusted consultant with major customers to enlighten them as to how our offering will allow them to increase their voice and influence within the market.
  • Generate business plans to define your selling strategies and tactics.
  • Understand and adapt to MERGE's ongoing product and technology developments.
  • Manage multiple cross-product opportunities and projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce.com and all of its capabilities.
  • Proficient in presentation preparation and proposal writing is a must.

Qualification Requirements:

  • The individual must have strong business acumen and be able to position a value proposition to senior business executives.
  • The individual should be entrepreneurial in nature, focused, and driven – proven self starter skill set.
  • They should have expert communication skills, both oral and written and have very strong presentation abilities in executive boardroom settings.
  • BA or equivalent education.
  • 10+ years of experience in advanced sales success.
  • Strong knowledge of, and established relationships within, a specific region and/or the marketing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional as well as online marketing tactics and strategy.
  • A deep understanding of the industry's issues, a vision for its growth and a commitment to advance MERGE's forward-looking strategies within the marketplace.
  • Some travel is involved.
  • Proven success in selling software applications, frameworks and services at the enterprise or business unit level
